Meeting up with Nancy Meyer, the curator of the 70th Anniversary LAMAG Exhibition, was a meaningful experience for me as an aspiring artist. Delivering my artwork for the exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, I was struck by the history and legacy of the event, established back in 1954. Nancy, a long-time family friend, shared an interesting piece of information—that I am the youngest artist to exhibit in this renowned showcase. This recognition underlined a significant moment in my artistic journey and shed light on the gallery's enduring commitment to presenting diverse talents over the years in Los Angeles. It was a reminder of the intergenerational exchange of art and the gallery's role in fostering creativity within the city's artistic community.
Lily recently delved into the vibrant world of silk screen printing for her latest art prints. Seeking the perfect frame for her creations, she was introduced to J&Y Silkscreen—a local company in Valencia with a rich history and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Discuss the work of Roksana Pirouzmand and Young Joon Kwak
Made in L.A. 2023: Acts of Living is the sixth iteration of the Hammer’s biennial exhibition highlighting the practices of artists working throughout the greater Los Angeles area. These practices embrace the value of craft, materiality, performance, and collectivity. The biennial situates art as an expanded field of culture that is entangled with everyday life; community networks; queer affect; and indigenous and diasporic histories.
